Do you need a quit smoking tip ?  Quitting smoking can be extremely difficult, but you CAN be successful if you prepare yourself the right ways, and know the right tips and tools.  There really are a lot of things you can do to prepare yourself, emotionally and physically, for the reality of quitting smoking.  Here are four.

The first stop smoking tip is to find a hobby.  Try something that keeps your hands busy.  Knitting, playing video games, model cars, it is entirely up to you, you just want to have something to do when you are bored other than smoke.  DO NOT GET BORED.

Another thing to make sure of is that you drink plenty of fluids.  The first couple of days after you quit, you should drink lots of juice to help flush the nicotine from your system.  After that, be sure to drink tons of water.  Instead of reaching for a cigarette when you get a craving, get an ice cold drink of water.  You would be surprised to know how much it helps, especially if you drink it through a straw.  You should NOT drink too many caffeinated and alcoholic beverages, as they make most people want a cigarette.

Eat healthy is another stop smoking tip.  Cigarettes act as an appetite suppressant, so without them you will probably want to eat more.  Smokers are also used to the hand to mouth motion of smoking and may seek to imitate that when quitting by eating.  So, stock up on veggies and other healthy, sugar free snacks, so if you do end up eating more, you won’t gain too much weight.

Also make sure that you take breaks.  It is often one of the reasons people cite for not quitting smoking is that the only time they get a break is when they go outside to smoke.  Well, just because you don’t smoke doesn’t mean you don’t deserve a break.  Just take 10.  To chat, read, do a crossword, any thing to relax.  Do not stop taking time for your self.

Doing these 4 stop smoking tip can increase your chances of success at quitting smoking.  It still wont be easy, but at least you have a couple more tools in your belt to make it less difficult.  Not only are these all good practices for quitting smoking, but they are just healthy habits in general.  If you keep them up after you quit, you’ll be in REALLY good shape!
